The Department of Health Systems, Management and Policy at the Colorado School of Public Health, University of Colorado, invites applications for one or more tenure-track faculty positions at the rank of Assistant Professor or Associate Professor. We seek candidates with deep expertise in health policy, health economics, and/or health services research who will advance scientific knowledge about strategies for improving health system performance, eliminating health inequities, and constraining healthcare costs. We are particularly interested in candidates who study policy-level and system-level solutions to health inequities experienced by racial and ethnic minority populations and other historically marginalized communities. Expertise in economic evaluation methods including cost-effectiveness analysis is desired for at least one of the faculty positions.  Other relevant areas of expertise include value-based care models, healthcare data science, health system organization and management science, and Medicaid and Medicare policy research.

About the Department

Faculty enjoy rich opportunities for collaboration with numerous academic and clinical units affiliated with the $5 billion state of the art Anschutz Medical Campus, including the UCHealth healthcare system, the NCI-designated comprehensive cancer center, Children’s Hospital Colorado, and the VA Rocky Mountain healthcare network.  Faculty benefit from a robust data environment that includes a campus-wide clinical data warehouse, regional electronic health data networks, a statewide all-payor claims database, and a federal research data center. The Colorado School of Public Health is ranked among the top 20 public health schools and programs nationally, and is the only accredited school of public health in the Rocky Mountain region. The School operates as a partnership of the University of Colorado, Colorado State University, and the University of Northern Colorado.

The Department is based on the University of Colorado’s modern and spacious Anschutz Medical Campus (AMC), co-located with the university’s other health professions schools, research centers and affiliated healthcare systems. AMC is located in the greater Denver metropolitan area, within easy reach of the downtown Denver and Boulder campuses. Faculty, staff and students enjoy year-round access to the Rocky Mountain region’s rich cultural, artistic and outdoor resources.
